In Baton Rouge, Louisiana I attending Parkview Baptist School and Music was always my favorite class. My first lead solo was at age 4 in our Church musical and I started taking piano at 4 ½. I grew up singing in church and throughout lower and middle school I had parts in all of our church and School musicals. In the middle of my Freshman year of High School my family moved to Carrollton, Georgia where I attended Breman High school. I was devastated about leaving all my friends and family in Louisiana but it ended up being a really amazing experience.
In the first two months of my new school I entered the High School Pageant and won the talent division for singing The Little Mermaid's "Part of this World." I won again the following year for singing "Someone Watch Over Me." I continued to sing in various church, wedding and school chorus groups. My favorite performance was when I sang "On My Own" from Les Miserables for Junior Miss Georgia Pageant.
Living in Georgia turned out to be a wonderful experience. I made such incredible friends, was on the cheerleading, basketball and softball team and sang my heart out. During my senior year my family decided to move to Osyka, Mississippi. Once again I was reluctant to leave my school and friends behind.
In Mississippi I attended Parklane Academy where I decided to spend more time with friends and focus on my singing. I took voice lessons with Bob Westbrook and Ninfa Caruso and landed the role of "Grace" in our high school rendition of "Annie." After graduating from Parklane, I went to college at Ole Miss. College was one of the most fun and interesting experiences of my life. I love meeting new people from different places and that is exactly what college is all about. With my rigorous academic schedule, joining a sorority and make new friends I wasn’t able to continue singing as much as I would have liked, but I did continue voice training and sing whenever I got the chance.
In 2003 I graduated from college and my roommate and I threw our stuff in a u-haul and moved to Los Angeles. I have been living and working here ever since…. We will see what my future has in store.
